I believe that laughter is the best medicine for the mind, body, and soul. My Laughter Yoga classes are a unique and fun way to experience the benefits of yoga while boosting your mood and sense of joy.

 

As a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader, I will guide you + your group through exercises and laughter techniques designed to help you feel more relaxed, energized, and connected to yourself and others.

In addition to Laughter Yoga classes, I also offer Choice Coaching sessions that are designed to help you identify your goals and make positive changes in your life. I will work with you to create a personalized plan to achieve your goals, overcome obstacles, and make the choices that will lead you to a happier, more fulfilling life.

what is laughter yoga?

Laughter yoga is a unique approach to health and wellness where anyone can laugh heartily without needing jokes, humor, or comedy. 
​
The concept of Laughter Yoga is based on scientific evidence, which states that both real and fake (self-simulated) laughter brings about physical and psychological health benefits.
​
Fifteen minutes is all it takes for you to experience the effects of intentional laughter on your health and well- being. 

 

Laughter yoga is considered physical exercise and the best part is that practically anyone can laugh energetically to achieve the health benefits associated with laughter yoga.

why is it called laughter yoga?

It's called Laughter Yoga because it combines laughter exercises with deep yogic breathing and gentle stretches. 

The human race has one really effective weapon, and that is laughter.

how does it work?

In a group setting Laughter Yoga utilizes four key components. Which are:

       clapping     

       breathing

       laughter

       playful exercises

       

When these four components are combined, self-simulated laughter becomes genuine and often contagious. 
​
Even though laughter yoga is an exercise it does not require a yoga mat, special clothing, or equipment.

​

If you can laugh you can participate, because with Laughter Yoga you only need limited physical ability and the confidence to laugh like no one is looking. 

who created laughter yoga?

Laughter Yoga was created in 1995 with just five people in a park in India. One of the people in the park was the founder of Laughter Yoga Dr. Madan Kataria, a medical physician, and another park participant was his wife, Madhuri, a yoga teacher.

Today, there are thousands of laughter clubs and classes in over 100 different countries full of individuals and professionals who practice Laughter Yoga in their homes, hospitals, schools, senior homes, and community centers.
